Living on Target Network
The Living on Target Network is a growing global community of churches and leaders united around a shared mission to make and be disciples who love and serve Christ, Home, Church, and World. For many years, Pastor Kelvin Smith has gathered local and global leaders for the purpose of discipleship, building lasting relationships through shared prayer, teaching, and ministry experiences. These efforts have now expanded intentionally through the Living on Target Conference and related gatherings, which have become catalysts for identifying, equipping, and connecting leaders who share this vision.

The network functions through three defined roles: Network Members, Network Partners, and Network Churches. Each role represents a different stage of growth and engagement, but all are connected by the same heart to see leaders abiding in Christ, families strengthened, churches equipped, and communities transformed. Conversations about forming Network Churches are appropriate after approximately 12 to 18 months of partnership, allowing time for trust, theological alignment, and shared mission to take root.

At the heart of the Living on Target Network are the four foundations of discipleship. Foundation One: Loving and Serving Christ begins with abiding in Christ by establishing a daily rhythm of Word, prayer, and worship that cultivates intimacy with God and spiritual strength. Foundation Two: Loving and Serving the Home calls leaders to serve their families in ways that make both home and church safe and life-giving places. Foundation Three: Loving and Serving the Church focuses on building up the body of Christ through discipleship and service. Foundation Four: Loving and Serving the World extends outward into mission, service, and witness. These four foundations form the spiritual framework of every relationship within the network.

Network Roles
1. Network Members

Network Members are leaders and churches who are beginning their Living on Target journey and are committed to personal and family spiritual health through Foundations One and Two, Loving and Serving Christ and Loving and Serving the Home.

  • Personal Commitment: Abiding in Christ through a daily rhythm of Word, prayer, and worship that shapes both heart and habit.

  • Relational Growth: Members benefit from the experience and encouragement of other leaders who share a commitment to the church and the pursuit of spiritual maturity.

  • Mutual Challenge: Membership is about accountability and growth, as network members challenge one another toward deeper personal discipleship and consistent spiritual development.

2. Network Partners
Network Partners are leaders and churches who are implementing the Living on Target discipleship resources within their local congregations, applying Foundations Three and Four, Loving and Serving the Church and Loving and Serving the World, in ways that are relevant to their context.

  • Applied Vision: Partners integrate Living on Target materials into their discipleship process, helping their churches grow in spiritual health and missional effectiveness.

  • Cultural Relevance: Each partnership respects the unique identity, culture, and autonomy of the partner church while maintaining shared vision and values.

  • Shared Development: Partners collaborate through training, leadership development, and mutual encouragement as they disciple others to love and serve Christ, Home, Church, and World.

3. Network Churches
Network Churches are fully established congregations that have matured from partnership into shared mission. They embody all four foundations, Loving and Serving Christ, Home, Church, and World, and reproduce discipleship movements locally and globally.

  • Shared Mission: Network Churches work together to plant, mentor, and equip other churches through the Living on Target framework.

  • Unified Identity: While each maintains full local autonomy, these churches align theologically and missionally to advance the unified vision of making and being disciples.

  • Sending Culture: Network Churches actively identify and train leaders to multiply ministry, extend the reach of the gospel, and model what it means to live on target in every generation.

Four Steps of Commitment

  1. Network Members commit to Foundations One and Two, Loving and Serving Christ and Loving and Serving the Home, by abiding in Christ through a daily rhythm of Word, prayer, and worship, and serving their families in ways that make home and church safe and life-giving places.

  2. Network Partners commit to Foundations Three and Four, Loving and Serving the Church and Loving and Serving the World, by implementing the Living on Target discipleship materials in their local church to equip believers and impact their community.

  3. Network Churches continue advancing the mission by reproducing discipleship movements that embody all four foundations in congregations and communities.

  4. Join the Monthly Network Zoom Call, an opportunity to connect, share progress, and encourage one another as we grow in this discipleship mission together.

While these monthly calls provide valuable connections, do not rely on them alone to build friendships. The goal of this network is to become a true network of pastors and leaders who intentionally build relationships with one another to advance the shared vision of being and making disciples who love and serve Christ, Home, Church, and World. It starts with a personal commitment to be a disciple and leads to a shared pursuit of healthy homes and thriving churches. Together, these commitments create a unified movement of leaders living on target in every area of life. Ultimately, this journey grows into a global commitment to impact the world for the glory of God.
