Global Discipleship

The global Living on Target discipleship movement is led by a team of pastors from Steele Creek Church. They work together to equip global leaders to be disciples who make disciples.

The Cape Town conference equipped 40 pastors and regional leaders to take the Living On-Target discipleship training material into their local churches. These pastors arrived at the conference already trained in the core concepts, which equipped them to teach the LOT material. These partnerships are growing organically in Africa as these leaders  work together to see a true discipleship revival in Africa.

The goal of this conference was to provide these pastors with an introductory overview of the material and to gather them later in the year for follow-up training. As of June 2026, those Namibia conferences have been scheduled for September and November of 2026

Mozambique (Beira & Inchope)

Event: Conference
Date: June 2025, September 2025, January 2026
Leader: Joel Da Silva

Mozambique:
Living on Target has had a major impact in church-strengthening and mentoring work in Mozambique, breaking its focus into two main areas:

  • Social & Structural Support: In partnership with missionary Tarik and the Hope for Mozambique ministry, they funded critical infrastructure projects, including a new temple floor in Beira and roofing for children's classrooms.

  • Training & Leadership: Led by Pastor Francisco and Pastor José, the ministry has trained over 50 local pastors and community leaders in Beira and Inchope. The training focuses on holistic worker care (spiritual and emotional), basic theology, and biblical worship to help them fulfill the Great Commission.

The mentoring and church-strengthening work in Mozambique has been bearing solid fruit through the Living on Target message. On the social front, we directly support missionary Tarik and the Hope for Mozambique ministry, enabling essential structural improvements, such as a new floor in the temple in Beira and roofing for the children’s classrooms. On the training front, more than 50 pastors and community leaders have been trained in Beira and surrounding regions, including Inchope, under the coordination of Pastor Francisco. Centered on the holistic spiritual and emotional care of our workers, the ministry provides practical tools for fulfilling the Great Commission, including basic theological training and foundational biblical worship, taught by Pastor José. Working in Africa places us before countless challenges, but above all, it reveals to us a field of extraordinary opportunities.

Disaster Response:
Steele Creek Church is involved with Pastor Anatoli after New Life Church was hit by a Russian ballistic missile. We’ve have a long standing relationship with Anatoli and will be supporting him in the coming weeks as Russia’s war on Ukraine rages on.

  • The Incident: At approximately 4:00 AM on June 2, 2026, a ballistic missile struck the grounds of the New Life Church located at Zhukovskoho 26.

  • Damage to the Property: The strike caused extensive damage across the church grounds, destroying a row of buildings and shattering all windows and doors. The building's thermal insulation was entirely ruined, furniture was destroyed, utility and gas lines were severed, and a church transport vehicle was heavily damaged with shattered glass.

  • Signs of Survival: Amid the destruction, a tent on the property miraculously remained standing with only minor warping and damage. Additionally, a man named Sasha survived the blast inside the battered structure by falling to the ground just as the missile struck.

  • Next Steps: The speaker noted that despite the devastation, everything would be rebuilt with God's help. At the end of the recording, they contacted authorities to request a representative to come to the site and officially document the property damage.

10/40 Window

The 10/40 Window is a term used by many churches and missionaries to describe a part of the world where most people haven’t heard about Jesus. It’s called the “10/40 Window” because it’s between 10 and 40 degrees north of the equator, covering parts of North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Our heart is to send and support missionaries who are sharing the Gospel in places where Jesus is least known.

In 2026, we are extremely active in the 10/40 Window, driving strategic breakthroughs, leadership training, and critical outreach across unreached regions:

West Africa: Guinea-Bissau & Senegal

  • Guinea-Bissau: Our team engaged the unreached Manjako people, opening doors into three schools where hundreds of children responded to the Gospel. In response, three struggling local churches united in repentance to reach this group. Backed by Living on Target training, four new church plants have emerged as the discipleship school prepares for its 16th class.

  • Senegal: We continue to support the Tyrannus School, equipping Fulani believers despite intense persecution. Graduates are now returning home to boldly share the Gospel and make disciples.

South Asia: Nepal & India

  • Nepal: The discipleship school has welcomed its 10th class, combining ongoing evangelism training with vital outreach to impoverished children.

  • India: Construction on the new orphanage is nearing completion, with windows currently being installed. Meanwhile, freshly distributed audio Bibles are making a documented, powerful impact across various tribal groups.

East Africa: South Sudanese Refugees

  • Refugee Outreach: New ministry frontiers are opening rapidly within South Sudanese refugee camps. We are actively distributing audio Bibles, establishing a strong foundation for future engagement among these displaced populations.

Liberia School

Mission Project: Leaders Foundation Mission

Since 2023, Steele Creek Church has had the distinct honor of being the sole financial supporter of the Leaders Foundation School in Liberia. This vital mission is driven directly by the heartbeat of our congregation. We ask our church members to step up and invest personally in these children, committing to a $300 annual donation per family to anchor the school’s daily operations, provide quality education, and cultivate a foundation of Christian discipleship.

Because of the consistent, obedient generosity of our church members, hundreds of students are receiving eternal hope alongside their education. However, looking ahead, our work is far from finished. To ensure this ministry remains strong and secure for the next generation, Steele Creek Church will soon be making additional investments to prepare the campus and its leadership for the future. Thank you for investing in the future of Liberia. Your support is truly creating a legacy of discipleship that will endure for generations.

Haiti School

Mission Project: Leaders Foundation Mission

Hope Christian Church, located in Fond Parisian, Haiti is a church with a vision to bring sustainable change to the nation of Haiti through Spiritual Discipleship, Youth and Adult Education, and Economic Development

Spiritual Discipleship - The primary work of the ministry is to develop people into Christian maturity by training them in the understanding of God’s Word and in the daily habits that lead to maturity. Because the church is composed mostly of young people, the importance of a strong spiritual foundation for these children is vital in order to prepare them to be leaders in the church and the community and the nation eventually

Youth and Adult Education - Hope Christian Church is part of the schooling process for more than 1,000 children. These children at no cost to them, begin school at kindergarten and can continue through high school in a rigorous academic program. These children learn French, Creole, English and Spanish. They are taught mathematics, science, philosophy, theology, and history.

Economic Development - In the hopes of producing an economic shift for the depressed community in and around the church, coops are being formed where micro-businesses can spring.
